- the drum'n'bass project
Yo! This is a page to go by my choons ... just some info for you to read!
Firstly a big *THANKS* to DeGinge ... he's the cool boy who
provided me some space on the Net for my choons & this page which yer
looking at now.
Secondly, go to LoKnet... the boys
which were one more motivation for me to delve deeper into tracking...
Now, after you have done that, we can go on with me :)
well, playing arround with trackers for arround 1 1/2 years now and actually
making something for the last 2-3 months, experiencing .MODs since the
PC Speaker and the D/A conv. on the LPT, i've got a few words for the
boys/gals hanging arround in the tracker...
you don't necesserily need music experience, BUT getting some is *very* useful.
sort yer samples. sample a lot. kill bad samples. rework the samples in
some sample editor. get new samples. avoid ripping samples. make samples.
listen to your beats. look for whats wrong in them... make slight,
progressive changes in them... they might not be noticing at 1st sight,
but if they build up, it's to your advantage.
try making slow beats at 1st and then speeding them up... i didn't really
know (or rather experience), but the hip-hop beats, when speeded up *DO*
make quite good drum'n'bass ;)
read a lot. listen a lot... (don't) leech a lot :)
support the scene. e-mail people :) especially me hehehe. you'll be
surprised how much it counts.
made it this far ? great !
you can grab my artwork now, listen to it... and i promise i'll soon
update this page... (that is if deginge lets me do it ;) )
